When we were young didn’t we just love playing matching-matching with our sister? Now that we all are grown up we just can’t stand any girl wearing the same outfit. However, we love doing mix and match with our husband/boyfriend as par their man outfit. We buy it all from same phone covers to same hoodies. There are so many couple products selling these days like couple watches and couple tattoos. It looks extremely cute to grab such goodies and flaunt. Don’t you just love it when your outfit co-incidentally matches your beau’s outfit? Then why not make this co-incidence happen every time? Here are few tips and tricks on how to mix and match your outfit with your Man outfit.
1. The Royale Look
If your man outfit has picked up a heavy embroidered shervani then go for an elegant saree with a heavy border and rich knitted blouse work. Both should go for colors like red, purple and crème which will give the royale touch to the whole outfit. Girls you can definitely wear accessories made of pearls or the one with kundan work.
2. The Indo Western look
Indo-western look is so IN this season. You can style it any cocktail, marriage or reception party. Guys can simply team up a hot pink, coral, khakhi, navy blue Nehru jacket and the girl can opt for an ethnic full dress gown with an outer jacket of the same color as her man outfit.
3. The Pattern look
He can opt for patterns of flowers, monochrome jackets or blazers to give a unique touch to his personality. This will be in absolute sync with her monochrome saree or floral lehenga. Monochrome and floral patterns are easily available from jackets for him to lehenga, gown and sarees for her. Deepika Padukone styled a beautiful monochrome saree in Chennai Express.
4. The Contrast Connect
Have you heard about the term “opposite attracts”. That’s exactly what I mean with “Contrast Connect”. You don’t always have to wear same colour, same pattern to look a pair. Men could pick a nice black or champagne-gold kurta pyjama and co-ordinate with her coral anarkali suit with gold work. That’s the power of looking different yet so well synchronized.
5. The Formal Fit
A nice navy blue suit with a pocket square of a bright colour which matches your saree shade will be another hot look to sport. It is that pinch of colour in his outfit and your dupatta that would draw the attention. The pocket square can be any colour from red, hot pink, baby pink, coral that would create the attraction.
And here is how I have paired my outfit with my other half’s blue velvet blazer/jacket. It turned out we are wearing the same colour and same fabric. Wearing the same fabric too makes a lot of difference while pairing the look. And you couldn’t stop people notice that who have just entered the room. Do you like pairing up? What is your favorite combination?
