Hairstyles for Long Hair

If it is about the beauty of a woman, there is no denying the fact that her hair is a significant attribute. Those with long hair are rather blessed here. However, your crowning glory can become a thing of worry for you if time is a constraint. Of course, you can let your hair loose or tie a quick ponytail but that’s not a solution every day; there are those bad hair days too. But that doesn’t mean you can’t look chic and stylish. Here are some quick (under 5 minutes) hairstyles for long hair that you can try when you have no time for anything fancy.

1. The Modern Messy Bun

This messy yet stylish ballerina bun will almost instantly transform you in to a fashionista in a rather effortless manner. Here is how you can get this look –

Step 1: Spray some dry shampoo at the roots. If your hair is not greasy, you can skip this. Start with tying a high ponytail. You can wear a classic head band to keep your hair in place while you work on the hairstyle.

Step 2: Twist the length of your ponytail in to a bun. Secure it using a bobby pin or an elastic hair band.

Step 3: Add some volume by using a tail comb or a pen to lift the section of hair between your head band and the bun.

2. The Twist And Pin Style

A stylish and a quick upgrade to your regular loose hair, you can achieve this look in less than a minute.

Step 1: Take a small section of hair (about an inch) from near your temples.

Step 2: Twist it away from your face and pin it up. You can do this either on one side or on both sides. You can try other variations too such as side partition of your hair or centre partition.

3. The Knotted Low Bun

This is a great way to keep your hair in place during those hot summer days.

Step 1: Pull your hair into a low ponytail close to the nape of your neck.

Step 2: Braid your hair loosely through the length of your hair and secure it again with an elastic band.

Step 3: Wrap your braid around the base of your ponytail just the way you do when you are making a bun and secure the loose ends of your hair with bobby pins.

4. The Fanned Out Bun

This is a great bun hairstyles for long hair those who have thin or fine hair. The voluminous, fuller bun gives you a dressy look for your casual shopping trips.

Step 1: Make a high ponytail.

Step 2: Take the end of your ponytail and turn it around to the underside. While you do that, separate the hair section just below your elastic hair band into two with your other hand. Now, pull your ponytail through the hold till about half way.

Step 3: With both hands, fan the bun out covering the base of your ponytail.

The above hairstyles for long hair are ideal for a casual day out with friends and sometimes, great to rock your office wear too.
